Future Roads: Driving Innovation and Sustainability

The DRF Lunchtime Clinic welcomes Mark Enzer, Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor in the digitalisation of the built environment at the University of Cambridge, who will be speaking on Systems-thinking in the built environment.

The DRF Lunchtime Clinic is delighted to have Professor Marcus Enoch, Professor in Transport Strategy and Leader of the Transport and Urban Planning Group from Loughborough University join the Clinic for his talk on Footpaths to the Future.

The DRF Lunchtime Clinic welcomes Future Roads partner, Ringway/Eurovia, to give us insight into the research and development that they are undertaking. This talk is to deepen our researchers' understanding of the challenges facing industry, and how research can help unlock new opportunities.

We look forward to welcoming back University of Cambridge Civil Engineering alum, Dr Weiwei Chen, Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction (BSSC), University College London. Weiwei will be speaking on Digital Transformation in Heritage Buildings and Hydropower Plants.

We take great joy in welcoming back Dr Mahendrini Ariyachandra to deliver a workshop session at the DRF Lunchtime Clinic covering An Interactive Approach to Building Your CV: Mapping your path to future careers. This workshop has been developed for our Students and Researchers to help them map out their chosen career plan. 

The DRF Lunchtime Clinic is looking forward to welcoming  Anthony Tuffour, Global GIS and Digital Twins  Director at Buro Happold, and an expert Geospatial Data Science and Digital Twins professional with over 20 years of experience. Anthony will be talking on Smart Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Using Digital Twins.

The DRF Lunchtime Clinic welcomes Professor Joon Teo, Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Yonsei University. His research interests include 3D mapping, spatial data science, and remote sensing. Prof Heo will be speaking on Data flow bottlenecks in smart construction and their solutions.

Kicking off the Lent term in style, the DRF Lunchtime Clinic is delighted to be joined by Clare Hall Vice President, Prof. Andrew Blake, FREng FRS, a pioneer in the development of the theory and algorithms that make it possible for computers to behave as seeing machines.
