We are excited to host Dr Michaela Nelson, Head of Future Telecoms and Digital Connectivity for the Department for Transport, on Friday 8th November. Michaela will be leading a workshop entitled Considering the future communications needs of the UK's road network.  

We look forward to welcoming Rupert Furness, Head of the Local Highways and Active Travel Division in the Roads Transport Group of the UK Department for Transport to the DRF Lunchtime Clinic. Rupert will be speaking on, The dark arts of policy-making in the civil service. 

We are delighted to have two talks this week from our colleagues on the Digital Roads and Future Roads programmes.

“Connecting the Roads” is an event gathering researchers and staff members of the "Digital Roads of the Future" group at the Department of Engineering. This group comprises around 50 international researchers and staff members. We aim to promote the diversity and richness of different cultures within our community.

Please join distinguished guest speaker, Professor Wei Pan, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, at the University of Hong Kong. Prof Pan will be speaking on Strategic Development of Civil Engineering in Hong Kong and Transformative Modular Integrated Construction.
